DIAGNOdent

Our office uses DIAGNOdent to aid in the detection of caries—tooth decay that can lead to cavities. Early detection helps protect and preserve as much of the tooth as possible to maintain a healthy, beautiful smile. Learn more about hidden caries
Cosmetic Dentistry
Our cosmetic dental services include:
Whitening
Our office offers 3 methods of bleaching. As with all of these systems, the absolute best results are achieved after your teeth have been professionally cleaned and polished.
Home Bleaching
Cost: $425
This is considered the Gold Standard of bleaching since it has the most flexibility and/or options for the patient. We make custom fitted soft pliable trays from an impression of your upper and lower teeth. We will show you how to use them and give you a kit with 3 to 4 week supply of viscous bleach. You only need to wear them 15 minutes to an hour (once or twice per day), and while wearing them you can do whatever you want to do. This method gives you the brightest and longest lasting result and you can bleach for life. The trays can be used over and over again; allowing you to chose when you want to brighten up your smile and for how long.
In Office Bleaching
Cost: $350
We apply a highly concentrated bleaching gel on your teeth for approximately 1 hour. We protect the soft tissue around your teeth with a rubber seal. You can read, watch television or listen to CDs during the procedure. In office bleaching is great for someone about to be married or if you are going to some big affair such as your high school or college reunion. This technique gives you the fastest whitening of all the systems and will last for six months to a year depending upon the amount of staining foods and beverages you eat or drink.
Crest White Strips
Cost: $90
Everyone has heard of bleaching with white strips. The strips purchased at our office are twice as powerful as the store bought ones. They whiten the teeth better and quicker. We will show you how to use them and give you an attractive kit including whitening tooth paste, whitening rinse and floss.
Porcelain Veneers
Thin porcelain laminates can be bonded onto the front surfaces of anterior teeth to brighten them, change their shape, close gaps and /or lengthen them. Please see our Smile Gallery to see the results that we have been able to accomplish for our patients.
Perfect Color Match
Using Digital Photography and Digital Shade Determination
To get just the right shade and shape to veneers, we take digital photos of our patients' teeth and send them to our ceramic laboratory to use as a guide. In addition, we use Vita Easy Shade which digitally calibrates the color of the patient's teeth for a perfect match.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Silver amalgam fillings were the most common fillings for back molars. Many patients over time have sensitivity issues and these old amalgam fillings can crack and leak leaving the tooth looking gray. Bonding the remaining tooth structure with tooth colored composite resin can eliminate these problems. Your back teeth not only look better, they are stronger and less sensitive. Please check out the before and after pictures in the Smile Gallery.
Dental Implants
Implants replace missing teeth without touching any of the surrounding teeth, (such as with bridges and dentures). Dr. Galante feels that of all the procedures for replacing teeth, Implants has helped more of his patients achieve better chewing ability and self- esteem.
Sedation Dentistry
We use Nitrous Oxide, a safe gas, to relax a patient who has some anxiety about dental work. The patient is awake, and can respond to instructions, but the "sweet air" calms them making the procedure go faster.
